Winterizing and repairs/paint

Been sick this week. Will hopefully pull the engine out tomorrow.

Been a long time since I have posted here.. kind of ashamed... I didn't do anything I was going to do to the bike this winter.. yes I tore it all apart.. left the engine, forks, and handle bars on.

Just like you said... time got away.. winter came and went.. nothing done to the bike.. nice weather other bikes on the road... time I got mine back together...

I got most of it together now and should have it running this weekend.

It's really not that bad once you get working on it. It's just getting to it.

Got it done!!!! Started up after a little encouraging, and some patience. Took it for a quick ride since it's late here. Ran very good. Looking forward to a long riding season.

ok I got her put back together and running but not prettied up LOL... and now I have new issues that are making me tear her apart again... electrical and maybe cylinder 2 down ;0(

There is a link to the pics in my sig. I have not had a chance to repaint her yet.

I did a valve adjustment and cleaned up alot of the wiring. Got her all put back together again. Also completed a charging system check.

Yep stator and r/r are bad. I'm going to do a rewind on the stator. and try and find a inexpensive r/r.

also:

When I took my bike apart last month and cleaned up the electrical I took the ignitor apart and it looked like crap inside. burnt traces, one of the screws had solder all around it and the PCB looked charred.

I want to replace it when I do my stator and r/r. I'll have to find out how much it is, or find a good used one.
