    Are all clocks equal?

My GS1000ET instruments are in good condition but the housing is not.

Can I put the clocks from mine

In to this type of housing?

The clocks look the same diameter not sure about depth.
    Yes/no maybe?
    Cheers

I've never measured the 2 sets side by side but I think the top ones are bigger than the lowers.

If I'm wrong, the other thing to check is whether the trip meter knob is in the same position (I couldn't tell you) and whether the mounting points match up on the bottom plate (I don't think they do but that's guessing really).

i would only go for it if i could first confirm that both the diameter and the depth are the same

there are quite a few different gs gauges set-ups... however, suzuki did often re-use parts on different models wherever they could... so you may be in luck

My '79 SN has essentially the same guages as a spare set EN clocks that I have. The SN just mounts them in a different style cosmetic housing. Size-wise and mounting-wise, they look interchangable.
