Anyone have advice on how to route the throttle cables with Daytona bars?
Over the last couple of days I've installed Daytona bars (replacing the stock buckhorns), the R1 throttle mod, Sunline Grand Touring Grips, and Napoleon bar-end mirrors on my 77 GS750B. The new bars, grip, and mirrors look very nice and the R1 throttle make a huge difference.
The challenge I'm having now is with routing the throttle cables (push & pull). I get it all set up with the front wheel straight and the throttle will snap back very quickly. I turn the bars right and everything is ok, turn the bars left the throttle won't snap back.
I thought I had it all worked out earlier (left and right seemed ok) but then I put the tank back on and that moved the cables enough to impede the throttle.
Any suggestions on cable routing that have worked for you are greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
