Front Forks
How much air pressure do you run in the forks of a GS 1000. Right now I'm using ATF for fork oil, I don't think it's heavy enough, any ideas, thanks Ric.Tags: None

Standard is 7.11 psi, NEVER to exceed 36 psi as seal damage may result, a hand pump is recommended as capacity is minimal

How about trying a 1in spacer made out of plastic tubing inserted inside the forks then you don't have to worry about air any more? I am not sure if there is a spacer in there already.

Hope you don't mind me piggy backing your topic...
On an 82 GS1100, can someone give me the shortcuts (if any) to rebuilding the forks? How much oil do they take? I am a fairly big guy (6'4" & 280 Pounds)... What weight oil should I run ??
