I'm not sure how to ask this question. OK,hear it is. How wide is the swingarm pivot? I'm talking about the part that bolts to the frame not the rear wheel. Please forgive me if I did not ask the question right.

Can't ya just break out a tape and measure it ?

Is that the size of the swinging arm with or without caps, the internal width of the frame?

A GS1000 and 1100 have the same frame hence the swap of the tubular swinging arm with the later aluminium box section one from the 1100.
