Keep going with it. Sounds like you are on the right track by building a base so to speak by doing the carbs and intake O-rings. Even if these items are not the cause of the problem, you are not waisting your time since the soft rubber parts harden with time and don't seal properly. I've rebuilt something like 10 racks of GS carbs and each and every one of them had hard and brittle O-rings even though a couple of them did run. When you get to that point, don't be afraid to ungang the carbs since the interconnect O-rings tend to dry out - do the complete job. Also, tackle that valve adjustment. The hardest part of the job by far is scraping off the old gasket. If you can handle that, the rest is easy.

A little dissapointed... I replaced the intake o-rings, and all of the o-rings in the carbs...no effect. Still have to check the valves and sync the carbs. Hopefully one of those is the problem :-/

Keep going, all the things that you're doing needs to be done anyway.
You'll have it figured out in no time. And there's alot of help here.Larry D
