Can I fit a gs750 engine into a gs650 frame?
I know it's a silly question. The thing is that I've aquired, over the years, enough spare parts to build a rat bike with the help of a motorcycle mechanic friend of mine. Unfortunately, the frame I had in mind will not accomodate my 1981 gs750L engine. Someone on craigslist is offering me a titled 1982 gs650g frame for cheap. Will my 1981 gs750L engine fit into a 1982 gs650g frame?Last edited by Guest; 12-16-2008, 11:52 PM.Tags: None

There will be a LOT of fabrication, as dardoonk has so eloquently hinted.
The 650G is a shaft-drive bike, so the swingarm will be different. Not sure if you can adapt a chain-type swingarm easily or not.
