    Cracked a carb body

So i just cracked a carb body on my GS850 carbs...

Right at the top where the diaphram sits in, i cracked about an inch long chunk off the top. Can this be glued back?

Or does anyone have a cheap carb body they can part with? These old things have given me too much trouble

The bike is a 1980 GS850GL with the CV carbs

So.....do you think JB weld or something like that will hold it? Its basically one of the corners at the top where the cap mates to the top of the carb, the bolt hole is on the broken off peice which is about 2 inches long and maybe 1 deep

JB Weld is good stuff. Give it a try. Build a bridge with the epoxy on the opposite side of the mating surface to the top. Keep the mating surface clean.
