    It was probably the Fire Aero or the Trimagnum (pretty much the same car) -- one of the most popular RT kits ever sold. It used a VW front end, and an AIR COOLED shaft driven motor. Here's a pic of one:

      It is called the Tri Magnum, and I have been planning on building one starting in the spring with Leons Contribution of the powerplant.
      Been waiting since 1983 it was featured in Mechanix Ill.

      The original used a KZ900
