Katana Exhaust
Does anybody know if the late generation Katana 600 or 750 (Late 80's to mid 90's) exhausts will fit an 85 GS 700E (16 valve, TSCC motor)?

Provided the exhaust is from an oil cooled Suzuki, I'd hazard a guess that the exhaust port spacing will be OK since the Katana motor is a detuned oilcooled GSXR motor. You might have to do a bit of cutting/pasting to weld on the GS flanges to the Katana header though. That's what I did to get a '89 GSXR 4-2-1 header on my bike.

port spacing is correct but you may have to mess around to get the collector to fit around your sump & footrests

I've got an 86 GSX-R 750 header that slips right in, maintains oil filter and drain plug access, but it's about an inch too short top to bottom. Won't clear the oilpan. Plus it doesn't have any flanges to mount to the head... Maybe I'll cut up my stock headers to remove the stock mufflers and graft on some cans from a TL or Hayabusa because I like the 4-2 look better than the ugly 4-1 thing....
