Oil cooler lines
I have a old oil cooler that uses hose clamps and transmission hoses. The clamps constantly need tightened and eventually the clamps strip out. Is there a better way? Are there decent hose clamps out there or is there a more permanent way of doing this?1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.

However, if you need to tighten your clamps to the point that the typical screw-and-slot type clamps are stripping, you're overtightening them.

If you are having to continually tighten the clamps to prevent oil leaks, it's probable that you are using a low-quality hose. You should only have to do the clamps up once, and then it should be oil-tight for good.
