    I *think* they are 10mm threads, 1.25mm pitch.

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Or are you after the actual length of the studs, 82gs1100?

      i need the size length and pitch to give to the machine shop s0 they can get me new ones. i thru out to old 1s.

        A Suzuki microfische will list the lengths. Ray.

                The lengths aren't listed on all fiches, but they are:

                Short studs (4): 09108-10027: 131mm length

                Long studs (8): 09108-10112 (superceded by 09108-10028): 168mm length


                I think it would be pretty silly to make your own, though. They're quite inexpensive from Suzuki, for one, and the OEM studs work perfectly fine for anything except maybe turbocharging or nitrous. And if you're putting nitrous in a shaftie, then you have serious mental problems... hope you like breaking expensive stuff.

                But looking at the x-refs (use the part number search at http://www.babbittsonline.com ), it appears the exact same studs were used on lots of different models, including the 1100E. Therefore, your best bet if you actually need something stronger is likely APE studs and nuts intended for the 1100E. These have years of experience behind them, and I doubt very much that a local machinist is going to match the type of advanced heat treating they use for the price: http://gszone.biz/studs.html

                Also, please look up the Suzuki part numbers for yourself and verify the cross-references for yourself. I'm just some guy on the internet, you know? I spent maybe 10 minutes looking up this stuff, and it ain't my bike.

                  I used to race a Yamaha XS1100 Shaft drive with a Mr. Turbo kit on it. Ran 9.30's at 149 mph... Used to shatter middle drives once in a while but it was a fun ride. Never stretched studs but did make the pistons egg shaped at 20psi boost...
