Float Height Adjustment CV carb
I understand from viewing Mr. BassCliff's website where to measure on the float itself but where am I measuring too the picture doesn't show the other end of the caliper. If I did it correct my floats are 5mm off at least.

Look where the bowl gasket sits, there is a little ridge running all along that edge. That is where the other end of the caliper sits.
Maybe this will help?

I have always done it on the flat surface next to the ridge.

I have not measured the ridge, but it's what ... 0.5 mm?

Seems the PO adjusted the floats to the step in the float rather than the correct spot.
I have a spring between the float tang and needle all the parts fiche I look at do not seem to show this spring. Should it be there? can i remove it? it seems to hamper the tang from closing the needle.
