    Coil testing/ignitor testing.

I did a search and just to double check:

input 3-5 ohms and output 20-30,000 ohms.

I just the bike back together after adjusting floats, adjusting valves, changing handle bars. and she'll only fire on 2 and 3. I have no spark on 1 and 4. thats all the testing I have done. The ignition on this bike is a DYNA? with Accel coils and wires.

    How do I test ignitor?

    Thanks for all the input.

Would you believe I found the test procedures on Mr. BassCliff's website?

I am astounded that one person has that much time to put together such a comprehensive resource and charge us nothing.

    Thanks a bunch, Cliff!

Is it bad when you test your coil and it shows an open?

If you are refering reading between to the two wires Yes it is bad. From the plug wires should read 15K- 30K ohms. BaseCliff's web site is a great addition to the forum. It is a collection of information from a lot of forum members. Cliff is kind enough to host it on his web space and keep it organized for everone to make use of it..
