How to Adjust the Idle RPM??

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum, which is probably normal considering I just got my first GS about 2 hours ago.

I have a question about it, however. The bike runs like a top. It jumps through the RPM range quickly and easily. However, it wants to idle a little too low for my tastes. It seems to want to jump down to about 600rpms when there's no choke and it's warmed up.

The bike in question is a 1980 GS-1000G.
It has approximately 33,000 miles on it.
It runs and rides really well. Starts right up and goes right away.

I have experience working on bikes, but this one has got me stumped. I can't for the life of me see a screw or anything that looks like it would adjust the idle. Am I just missing something, or is there some trick to it??

    Thanks!!!!
    Jeff

    ***EDIT***
I did a few forum searches and didn't really find any direct answers about an actual idle adjustment knob.

Should be a thumb screw between the middle two carbs towards the bottom on the back. turn it.

If you look below the rack of carbs...in the center (between the 2-3 carbs) there is a thumb screw. Counterclockwise rotation will drop the idle.

Welcome to the best bike fourm on the plante. NO...I'm not biased.
At some point you will get the Mega Welcome but like Christmas...you must wait.
