    No - should seal just fine. I normally just wipe some grease on my fingers and give the gasket the finest of coatings - helps it seat nicely.

      If it has a gasket then it shouldnt have sealent. Works well for a non performance area. On performane areas use a smear around o-rings like on barrels/heads and on metal to metal surfaces. Thats my story and im sticking to it.
