What tanks will fit my 81 GS650G?

I need a new tank, and am wondering what years/models will fit my 81GS605G.

The only ones that will bolt straight on are the 81-83 650G tanks.

More than likely, the only tank that will fit without some sort of modification will be from the same model, gs650g, from any year of manufacture 81 to 83. I do know that the 82 and later have the additional fuel guage sensor but I still think these will bolt up without a hitch.

As for the 650L model, really doubt it will fit. Likewise I believe the 650 E tank is not a straight swap either. As for other models, again I don't know.

The petcock was relocated on the 82-83 tanks so you may need to reroute the fuel line.
