Can someone ID these?
They were on my 82 Katana 1000 when I bought it, but they have no markings whatsoever and I would like to get them rebuilt.....
Thanks!Tags: None

Ed,
I guessed Fox as well, but I really have no idea. Any ideas as to where to get them serviced?
Thanks for the suggestions!

Those are Fox Street Shocks......I have a similar set on my bike as well. Best place to rebuild them is Thor Lawson's shop (even the Fox factory guys recommend him for the vintage stuff).
Do they feel 'sacked out'? If they aren't leaking oil, make sure they have proper air pressure (200psi) and try, before sending them off. Mine have not needed service as yet, being low mile, but I hear he does a good job.

They do leak a little oil, but don't feel mushy yet. Would like to get it taken care of before the shaft becomes scored or damaged any other way. Besides, who knows what they look like inside?
Thanks for the link, those prices seem pretty reasonable.

Old Colt
Great link for Thor Lawson's shop. I have 4 sets of vintage fox shocks and finding a parts source is wonderful to keep them alive.

If they are leaking, it's a safe bet they need attention. I'll probably send mine in too before too long, if I don't go with something else.
4 sets Old Colt? These are getting pretty hard to find, and fetch a lot of $$, esp the piggyback ones. Do let us know how you guys make out, in dealing with this shop.
