I own a 78 gs 1000 . The build date is feb, 78. It has the aluminum rim spoke wheels with single disc brake front, black sided air box. Don't see very many with these options. Is this a european model? Or just an early model. Most I've seen have mags, and chrome sided airbox. Just wondering.

You have a 1000C model. Not rare per say, but not as common as the E model.Ed

The 79s and newer have the chrome sided airbox
The wire wheels were 78 and 79 only

it was blue, but the tank and tail section were in bad shape. Swapped them out for a black set. Thanks for the info. Was gonna cafe it out till i found these better parts. Glad i didn't.Comment
