    clutch hub movement

    hello all

i have a question about hub movement, i have a little side to side
and some up and down, nut is tight and it's in the slots in the back
could there be a difference in the shaft from year to year
or is it just wore out
it's not real bad, but i just wanted to make sure.
i really don't want it to booger up that crank gear
just need some thoughts on this

    thanks
    jim

If the clutch nut is tight, what sort of shape are the clutch bearings and spacers in?

Did you try to tighten the hub nut?

These loosen up by themselves somehow. I've had to tighten mine 3/4 turn even tho all the tabs were in place.

Jim, on the GSs there IS some movement due to movement in the bearings. Usually it is not to worry about unless it is REALLY loose. Ray.
