GS750 CV carb body
Does anyone know if the '81 GS750E CV carb body (32mm) is the same as the 1980 GS550E CV (32mm). Can one be substituted for the other. Thanks.

Yes, it is the same, as long as it came from the same position in the rack.
As Nessism mentioned, you will have to move all your jets to the 'new' body, but you can not move the carb to another position in the rack.

Thanks guys for your replys. Steve it looks like #1 and #3 is the same and #2 and #4 is the same casting. Carb #1 has the fuel tube sealed off with a 'cap'. Looks like that could be removed which would allow it to be used in the #3 position. Anyone ever do this ?1980 Suzuki GS550E, 1981 Suzuki GS 1100EX all stock, 1983 Suzuki GS 1100EX modified, 1985 GS1150E, 1998 Honda Valkyrie Tourer, 1971 Kawasaki Mach lll 500 H1, 1973 Kawasaki Mach lV 750 H2.

i have moved a carb to another position, I did have to use some gas tank sealer to plug the gas channel. and you can drill the end carb gas channels out. When your Fu** and you have to make it work
