    Tach gasket/seal on engine block

    I have a leaky tach connection where it attaches to the block of my 78 gs750e. So bad, that it is now dripping. Anyone want to get rid of one or know where I can buy just the o-ring/gasket/seal that goes in there?

    I got one for my 1100G last year. It has a small o-ring and a cone shaped washer in the kit. I got it from a semi-local dealer for about &12.00 bucks.

    Takes about 10 minutes to install.

      Mine was doing the same thing. There are two o-rings you'll need. One is typical looking and the other has a flat face to it. Right from the dealer they weren't more than 6-8 dollars. No more leaks.

        I just stuck an O-ring on.

        I didn't want to take my cam cover off, so I used an o-ring in the cable itself. I unscrewed the cable and put an o-ring beteween the threaded part and the flange. I also put some teflon tape on the threads. This did the trick. I will be doing a valve adjustment. At that point I will get the right seal kit for the tach gear. Untill then the o-ring is holding back the flow at the cable itself.
