    Yes it is the 16 valve. I'll do as suggested, clean it, talc it and see what happens.

      Worse case scenario is I put all the pieces in my Radio-Flyer wagon and pull it to one of the area guys.

        Yes, this. Very, very, very common. And very cheap and easy to fix, too.

        Unless they've met you, I think a lot of people don't realize your bike is one of the chain-drive 16V engines -- they may assume that your bike is a shaftie. Perhaps you might want to clarify this in your sig.
