    Silly question Im sure, but....

Whats the difference in the 750 engines with the round can cover compared to the rectangular ones? Was there an 8 and 16 valve version of the same sized engine? All the research Im doing to showing the round cam version. I cant seem to find much on the style I have with my 750 LX. Even my shop service manual shows this model to have the round covers.

Starting with your '80 GS750, Suzuki changed the 750 engines from 8 valve (round cam covers) to 16 valve (rectangular cam covers).

Check to be sure you have the correct manual. There will be many differences in the 8 valve & the 16 valve engines

It's not silly if you don't know and would like to learn a little. I didn't know before I got on this site. It is an easy question though. I like those lol!
