cam cleaning
No, I have not adjusted anything anywhere, yes, I have a note from my mommy saying that I was sick, the dog chewed up my homework, and it has been so nice here in Tn that the last few days have been spent playing in the yard. But I do have another question. The cam that passes by the signal pickups from my electronic , not points, is corroded.Would a dirty ,rusted slightly, cam lessen the signal? The bike has one of those clear plastic covers over the point area that were so popular in the day so a little moisture has slipped in.And if I use the zip tie method to hold open the valve will i really lose height and popularity?Tags: None

What year/model do you have? Stock ignition? A rusty signal generator will probably not be a problem, but if you have a mechanical advance underneath it, rust can cause a huge problem there.

Bike is a 1980 GS1000 E IT IS STOCK well jet kit pipes .Runs well enough after warming and I am in the process of finding time to fiddle. My other ride is a harley ultra and I have about 90^ of a cl77 that is slowly coming to life. The GS is used infrequently but the ride is enjoyable. No baffles in the Kerker and the sound is awesome.
