Check out bwringer's cam chain tensioner rebuild.

I lost my ignition key for my 550. My brother said i could call suzuki with the VIN and they would make me a key.... think they would for an 82? I have the fork lock on as well. If I cant get a key from suzuki is it a pain to replace the ignition?

Take the ignition or the bike to a locksmith--shouldn't cost more than $25. When I had this problem I took in a helmet lock instead of the ignition. The cranky locksmith said there was a 1 in 1753 chance it would work in the ignition, but it did.

          Hi,

A lot of times there is a three digit number on your locks; ignition, gas, helmet. Take those three numbers to a good locksmith (and maybe a blank key - available from many online vendors and ebay) and they can cut you a new one.

          Thank you for your indulgence,
