    Should I keep this one?

So I have a Very good looking CB550f Supersport and I have been only hearing good things about it. how great the bike is and everything.

it only has like 12k on it and when I just waxed the tank it really shined up.

So what im asking it should keep this on just as a collectors cause several people have sparked once I told them I have that bike. and I mean every person who knows even a little about bikes.

would it be worth just to keep?

    THE STORY:
How I got the bike was for free from a guy from church he just didnt have the time to get it running so he GAVE IT TO ME. So if I were to sell it from what i've been hearing from people liking it so bad I could start kinda high like 2k and see if it sells then I made basically total profit I mean all I spent getting it running was 50-60 bucks so I am just wondering if I should sell it for a good profit or keep as a collecter.

    THank you
    Jake

I think you should sell it & donate the money back to the church. (less your cost).

It is really up to you... do you need the money? if not, then you should hold on to it. It can only appreciate in price with age (as long as you keep it up)
      Just my opinion.

Well my original idea was to sell it give a small chunk to Dave(the guy who gave ti to me, and we have a building campain at church so I was gunna give some to that too. but if I could get a ton more for it then I would hold on to it and give even more back?

            Fundraising

Put the bike up for auction, or a raffle (500 tickets X $5 = $2500.00)

Sell it for sure, it's a Honda after all.

Regarding the money, I think a three way split is very kind. The world needs more people like you.

If you were sitting at the last supper with Jesus Christ and Gordon Gekko what would be the right thing to do?

If you get more than $500 I'd be surprised, but good luck anyway. Whatever profit you make you should give half to the previous owner or church.

Nice engine, nice looks - bendy frame (ie handling was never too clever). If there's a nice profit to be made quickly and I hadn't been after that model I'd sell and buy something I wanted.

I had a CB550. Not a Super Sport, the regular 4 muffler one. I really did not like it. (or the 750 or 350 for that matter) Slow, busy, buzzy, with handling that was mediocre at best. It felt top heavy, and wanted to fall into corners. I like more neutral handling like a GS, or the Norton Commando that was my main ride at the time.

Why don't you try using it and see how much you like it? If you love it, keep it!

If it doesn't seem special to you, Pitch it!

I never liked the handling on any of the first generation Honda fours, and never found them fast at all. I know I'm in the minority with my opinion of them.

BTW, in my collection of old bike magazines, I have a 1976 middleweight comparison by Cycle Guide.

The CB550F was smoked even by the RD400.
