    What is this part?

    What is this part? It is on my 1982 GS1100GK. Some micro fiches say washer some say gasket. all I know is it slowly leaks oil. my Local parts guy is not sure and says he can't order it.

    It's a copper sealing washer/gasket thingie, just like it says. Crush washer.

      It's actually a sealing washer, but not a crush washer. It's a steel 6mm washer with a rubber insert.

      Any Suzuki dealer should have these in inventory. If not, or if it's too much trouble, you can replace it with a 1/4" nylon washer from a hardware store.

        If that really is the ONLY bolt holding that cam chain guide in place, then you definitely don't want to remove it unless you have the valve cover off and you can get a finger or something down in there to hold the guide in place.

          THANKS FOR THE INFO. i HAVE THE BIKE TORE DOWN RIGHT NOW SO IT IS EASY ACCESS. I CALLED AROUND TO DIFFERENT PARTS STORES. THERE IS A GUY 2 HOUR AWAY THAT HAS IT. I GUESS ITS TIME FOR A ROAD TRIP.
