      Not to beat a dead horse, but......adjusting the valves isn't optional. They must be attended to every 6-8 thousand miles as part of your regular maintenance. If you don't know when they were last done, then they need it. These bikes absolutely love having their valves adjusted. It really brings them back to life and not cold-blooded anymore.
