Mixture screws?
I recently rebuilt my 79' 850's carbs and took note of the turns on the the parts when removing. The bottom screw the mixture screw I suppose that's accessible form the bottom of carb when on bike. I was just wondering the factory settings for these, they were at all set at 6 turns from bottom someone told me that seemed to much, I was just wondering.Tags: None

Walker,
If Earl were around (I don't know where he disappeared to.... ), he would tell you that the baseline setting for the fuel pilot screw - which is the one underneath the carbs - is 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 turns out.
I use this on my '78 750, and it works just fineFrosty (falsely accused of "Thread-Hijacking"!)

That sounds about right. Seems like that is what the Suzuki shop told me when I put mine back together.

Thanks for the info guys, what problems would I notice with the screws out 6 or so turns as they were?

since they are fuel mixture screw I would assume there would be a big difference. EPA really frowns on them being messed with. So I did.
