Hey guys can you tell me the float level on a 1985 GS550L it has the siemiesed carbs and if possible does anybody have a link to the factory manual for this?

Se if you can find your carbs in the sticky carb spec at the beginning of this section.
1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

thanks for the fast reply i found one for the 1985 GS550E it is .81" +- .04 hopefully someone can verify that will work for meComment

Double check your throtle plate number ( 110 or 120 )and match it to your carb specs for float heights there are differences between models and years for the siamese carbs.Comment

Funky little carbs those 2-barrels. I would go up at least one jet size if it were me, they seemed to run very lean by design.
