Clocks off another model???

First of all Hi to every one, my first posting on here.
I have a 1982 GS550L and i was wondering if a speedo and tacho off another more modern bike could be made to fit...I was thinking maybe a GSF600 bandit? Cheers

can be done but I dont know the probability of there being many. and for most of them it wont be fun to put one on.

The biggest challenge will be making the modern electronic tachometer work correctly. It's been done, but there's a little more to it than just clipping some wires and plugging them into your wiring harness.

I've thought of doing the exact same mod many times. Some of the new bikes have very cool looking 'retro' chrome gauges. As has been said though, the electric nightmares make it difficult. If you do it, and it works, make sure you write a 'how-to' so others can do the same (or similar) mod.
