Mine was bad when I got my bike also...stole the one out of the 750E I'm working on, so I don't know what they cost.
Pull the wire off and with the ignition on, ground it to the engine...the gauge should move. If it does, sender is bad, if it doesn't, wire or gauge is bad.Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

Thanks, I assumed it was the one that is, I believe, forward of the pressure switch. I had the motor out this weekend, drilling out broken exhaust bolts (oh the joy) so I got to give everything a good once over. As i button it back up I plan to go through all the connections etc.
