    1983 GS 750ES related

Does anyone have firsthand experience with the stators from RM Stator of Quebec? I have a 1983 DS750ES with a marginal stator and a bad starter clutch. It sounds like one of the forum people may have a starter clutch, but I will likely proceed with another stator as long as we have it apart (bike has 60,000 miles on it). Suzuki no longer offers either part. RM offers a new aftermarket stator at a decent price, so I may try that unless I can find a very nice used one. Any thoughts?

Also - does anyone have a service manual for this bike?

    Thanks!

I have one on my 700 now. I was beginning to think it had gone south after just 6 months but it turned out to be a battery with a dead cell or something causing my charging problem. You won't get the voltage you do with a stock stator because of thicker gauge windings. Voltage will be less but the amperage should be higher with the thicker windings.

BTW, I have the manual. If you need a few pages scanned I can do it for you tomorrow. Just PM me to remind me.

I downloaded the manual from a link on this site. I'm just too lazy to search for it.

Basscliff's website has links to the manuals.

That's it. 146meg and you have your very own - complete. Best thing since sliced bread.
