White is lean as mentioned, this has me thinking you may have a blockage in the main port, somewhere. That or you're pulling air around/past the filter and not through it...

Are you sure it is hitting on both cylinders when you give a twist? I'm by no means suggesting that a sync is the only answer, just that without a good one, and especially on a twin, they tend to "fight eachother" when out of balance.

i did notice that when i synced them i gave it a few twists of the throttle. one gage would move further than the other one. does this support your theory? sorry for all the questions guys. just wanting to make sure i get this thing done right. i appreciate all of your help and input.I didnt do it I swear !!

hang on... you said one plug was white....and the other still looked new?
new as in shiny brand new? if it still looks like its straight from the box is hasnt been burning any fuel....

i has some color to it but not much not white or black. i know when the bike is on choke it seems like the one cylinder is cold. but off choke it get hot. that would be the cylinder that the plug looks white.I didnt do it I swear !!

Hmmm so when it is running you can feel both exhaust pipes are hot?

yeah they both get hot off choke but not when i have the choke on. im going to go back through the carbs tomorrow. unless you guys can say whats causing that.I didnt do it I swear !!

ok i was reading over the bench sync pages on basscliffs site and i realize i really messed up. i now have the pages printed out and will be re-doing them tomorow. i will let you guys know how it works out.I didnt do it I swear !!

Sounds to me like something is blocking the main jet on the side that the plug is showing white.
Honestly, I'd rip the carbs out and take them all apart and put them back together like was mentioned earlier.
After you do that, then sync it up and call it a day. Try it after that and see if it's been fixed!!
