i paid something like $50 bucks for a used one for my '79 850. I picked it up so no shipping. I've been told somewhere around 60% for used parts compared to new. i know this depends on what "used" means.

I think half would be fair. I know you'll take a beating (if you paid the over $400 I paid for one), but better than nothing.

Flat Out Motorcycles lists that part for $331.98. Pretty crazy expensive when a Dyna S can be had for $120. I'd say sell it for 1/2 of new and be ready to drop it some if no one goes for it.

Price is set by what someone is going to pay, not by what somebody who's not going to buy it thinks it is worth. Since a Dyna replacement ignition can be had for under $130, and will work just as well if not better than the stock unit, then that will be the normal threshold price for an educated buyer. Of course, if someone doesn't know any better, then if they thought by pjurchasing your part they were saving $100 off of a new one, they'd probably buy it.

This ignition fits my bike. If I needed a new ignition for it, I wouldn't pay over $70 for a Suzuki one. If I couldn't find one for under that amount, I'd just buy a Dyna (with a warranty and excellent customer support) and not look back.
