    intake boots vs. carb/airbox boots?

I am confused and need some help! I need what I believe to be called intake boots. They are between the engine and the carbs. Bikebandit.com has intake boots, but when I look on the schematic it looks like what they have are between the airbox (which I don't even have anymore) and the carbs. Makes sense, air intake boots. but when I search for carb boots, nothing shows. And to go further on, a thing I read by Mr. BassCliff says some of the things needing attention right from the get go were, among others, the intake boots and the carb/airbox boots! What is what and which is which? What is the actual name of what I need, and where do I get said part?

This being my first build, and a newbie to GSR, will someone please show some sympathy to a ignorant, yet questioning!, soul!?!?!
    Thanks,
    Justin

Thanks for the reply, I'm looking at the cylinder head fiche right now and I don't see it.

That's the one I originally thought to be it. but it looks to be connecting the airbox to the carb. I don't have an airbox anymore, the PO put K&N individual filter on. What I need to replace is the boot that the carbs slide into on each cylinder.

Yup, I was wrong. Most of the other models have the boots with the head, so I assumed.

But isn't that big piece the airbox, and that boot ( part 20 intake pipe) connecting the airbox to the carbs? I'm sorry I keep saying the same thing but I must be misunderstanding something from you guys.

#20 connects the carbs to the head. The airbox boots are shown as attached to the airbox in the parts fishe. They are not available separately for most VM carb bikes for some reason.

Flatoutmotorcycles.com is the cheapest place for OE parts I've found. They are doing very well with shipping quickly these days as well.

Good luck and don't forget to get O-rings for the boots if you don't have any fresh ones.
