        The slot I made in the sproket wasn't long enough. I might have been able to move it over a tooth, but i was WAY tired and 1.25 deg wasnt worth it.
        I was too tired to even take a test drive til the next day.

            I think the exhaust was way off because of how much i had to adjust it. It idles a lot quieter now. I wanted to check the numbers before i installed the slotted sprockets, but I knew there wasn't enough time.

              Good post. Nice looking bike! Great results. You did it right when you get more power and smoothness everywhere. Which loctite did you use on the sprocket bolts? Did you add washers there?

                Ya, i bought the bigger wheel, cost more but the little one was just too little, it cost more than the dial and mag mount together

                  Good job!
                  It's alot easier with two people and the degree wheel mounted on the ignition side.
                  One wheel watcher and one engine turner/dial indicator watcher.
                  1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
                  1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

                      I used red loctite, didnt have to use washers, the slots weren't too wide.
