Yep, I too will vouch for this stuff - helped me when pulling another set of carbs apart - just wish I had it for the first set!! You do use a lot, but as Zooks inferred, look at the bigger picture. Think you guys in the US only pay about a tenner a can too!

Well last week I spent 2 hours gettin 3 exhaust manifold flange bolts apart on the drivers side of the Caprice...ended up breaking them off to do it.
Yesterday I stopped at Autozone and they had the CRC version...
Freeze Off only $5 a can.
I just tried it on the passenger side exhaust, just as rusty, just as hard to reach and let me tell you...this stuff is awsome...
15 minutes and all three are out...
I will forever have a can of this stuff around.Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

Hey it's £67.93 over here in the UK - good old UK rip off in action again:
I hope that chills and awful lot of beer.
(Actually I can get it for £6 locally, but that high price was the top line on UK Google).
It's got a place in the workshop for sure but don't expect miracles.79 GS1000S

No it's just a can or aresol propellant.. Just like the canned air for cleaning computers but they put a dip tube in to shoot liquid propellant.
The liquid boils at room temperature, it's the same process your air conditioner uses for cooling your home.
Canned air.. Flip it upside down.. spray something like a soda can.. Feel the cold
FYI Liquid Nitrogen is -321°f.. That will get your nuts loose

Apparently it works.
I was changing my ignitor yesterday which is mounted on the right side of the battery. One screw was badly stuck and I couldn't get a impact on it without removing lots of parts. Tried tapping the back of the screwdriver with a hammer. No luck. Sprayed it with wd40 and went and had a beer on the back deck. After 20 minutes or so I went and tried the screwdriver and hammer trick again still wouldn't budge.
At that point and time i remembered this thread and dug up an old can of electronic cold spray. Shot about a quarter of the can at it, grabbed the screwdriver applied pressure and tapped it with the hammer. Heard a liitle crack and came right out.
I was so happy I changed the ignitor and had another beer to celebrate.

The also contain penetrating oil that goes in and does its stuff after the cold works its magic...
For the $5 the can cost me it was well worth it.
I saved a couple of hours of cursin' and sweatin'....
I'm sold...even better than PB Blaster....Bob T. ~~ Play the GSR weekly photo game: Pic of Week Game

I used it for my broken exhaust studs and no go.
At $12 it was a little higher than PB but as usefull.
Ended up at a machine shop, but it may have just been the studs.
Will have to try it again on easier jobs.Doug aka crag antler

I just tried the CRC stuff on one of my broken exhaust bolts - same result as crag antler, no go.
Did seem like cool stuff (pardon the pun).

I saw a similar product, but not loctite brand, slightly cheaper, and has penetrating oil in the spray already. not sure about the loctite brand, but it may have penetrating oil already.
