Does anyone know what other year's of gs850's will fit a 81' GS850G exhaust wise. ThanksTags: None

There are differences in the 850 exhausts; some have a crossover chamber that bolts to the engine sump cover, and others attach differently in the rear. There is info on these details in the archives. I'm too lazy to look it up for you though.Ed

The '79 exhaust does NOT have the crossover, all the rest do.
The L pipes are shorter and (in my opinion) do not sound as nice. They mount a bit differently at the back, I'm not sure.
The bike's frame changed in 1982. One of the areas that changed is the passenger footpeg/muffler mount.
Not sure if the actual location changed or just how it got held there.
