What are you running for a filter(s)?
    Where are the floats set?
It sounds like you're having trouble switching from the pilot circuits to the mains. Needle height set correctly?

im running regular stock air filter and its new. me and steve were messing with the floats and we had to set them at about 25mm. the specs say 22.4mm but that wasnt allowing them to shut off the flow of gas. and which needle heighth are you refering to?

The jet needles that are raised by the diaphragm. They can be moves (notched models) or shimed up using small washers. It sounds like the stumble is in the mid-high range transition.

Do you have the paper filter or foam?

oh those. mine are the ones that are stuck in place. you have to push them down in there. im running a foam filter lightly oiled.

Where do you have the air-mix screws set? All clamps tight? What happens when you feel the "bogging" if you apply a little choke?

i got them set at about 1 1/4 turns out. havent tried giving any choke. i'll have to go try that to see what happens.

1 1/4 sounds a little lean to me...

Not sure on the 450 but for the 550+ ( I assume that they should be close) 2-1/4 - 2 1/2 out from lightly seated is a good starting point.

yeah i just did another half turn and it was much better. still got a few hick-ups though. i'll go a little more out to see if it goes away.

well i went to 2 1/2 down to 2 1/4 now im at 2. she seems to be running better but with a slight hessatation. i think my throttle cble might be bad. when i come to stops it is wanting to stay idling high and i have to let out on the clutch a bit and it goes down. could a bad cable be part of my hessatation problem?

for 1980+ CV carbs, there is one adjustment, top/front of carb, and out is richer.

Kparkfan, when you synched the carbs, did you plug the vacuum line?

yeah i plugged it. I think that me being a rookie at syncing and having some crappy gauges to do it with, that i might be a little off. does having a bad throttle cable make it have any hesitation?
