    Stopped and won't start again

My 82 GS 750E started right up this spring after it's winter rest (stored with full tank and Sta-Bil) and I rode it around the block a couple times since. My last time out, it was giving me a few backfires and eventually shut itself down, couldn't start it back up. Starter turns, just nothing. I would naturally guess that it isn't getting any gas. From what I've told you, does this sound probable. Thanks for any help.

Even with Stabil if the carbs weren't drained then you probably have crap in them. Could also be if the fuel had ethanol in it you have a jelly like mess in the tank.

Yeah, I think the gas these days breaks down a little quicker. I would drain all the gas from the bowls and tank, put it in the car or lawnmower, fill with fresh gas, and put in a new set of plugs. Prime the carbs before starting.

Check for spark and see if the plugs are wet.
