did you check out under the starter clutch cover?

if you had main bearing problems your engine would be making a slapping noise with every revolution... like most here, i doubt thats the issue.

Sounds mysterious. I'm afraid the most help i can offer is to ask questions. Just to clarify, is this happening mostly at idle, while stationary and in neutral, but also while riding?

Edit: Woah. Weird. There were no other replies when i originally wrote this, then as soon as i submitted there were a bunch.

Nate, I pulled the flywheel, and the screws on the back were loose, but they didn't chew up anything.
the copper washer behind it looks new. the flywheel didn't appear to be spinning on the crank.

and please hop on over to this post.... it's the only one I'm checking everyday. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...11#post1007411
