Exhaust restriction to moderate intake fuel ratios would not be my first choice as it will vary constantly depending on the engine RPM's...

A lollipop baffel is a 3/4 in washer welded to a bolt.Installed in the pipe it can be rotated for the amount of restriction.

Its an old builders trick. Was a great way to get around having a standard exhaust by keeping the tone mellow while its turned flat.

Theres also a spiral bafle used by the old brit guys. Its just a piece of sheet metal about an inch wide, twisted and welded to a bolt. You cut it roughly 12" long and push into the tailpipe and bolt it in. You get good back pressure and good flow as well as a nice tone. Even a coiled rod will do the same thing.
