Broken Exhaust Flange?

I posted a thread about this and another problem but got no help for this part. I have two cracked exhaust flanges on the original pipes. They are not totally broken so I left them where they are for now. I don't see a way to take the collars off the exhaust header to get the flanges off, or maybe they are just rusted? Im looking at what my options are here. Can i simply replace them some how? Or do i need a new header/exhaust? or... should I go try to get them welded??

Any advice would be grate!!

I would just get em welded...as far as I know, they do not come off on the 650's. so take it to a pro...will probably cost you 20 bucks or so.

I responded to a thread about this. You can do one a few things. Leave the flanges on the header and have them welded by someone able to weld cast. Break them off and replace with something in the fashion of these.

Hammered- Where did you find those? I assume they are size specific bolt to bolt?

Bribird- I talked to you about buying your exhaust, I think im going to try to get this welded and if it doesn't work Ill be picking the pipe up from you. I will try to get back to you on it by mid-end of this week. Thanks a lot.

P.S No one was hurt when the Audi got totaled. Worst/best part was that i wasn't in it. My mechanic was on a test drive and got T-boned by a Bus. Thanks for asking though.

Those are from streetfighterbling.co.uk but a picture of them and some measurements by a good machinist and you got a pair. Ive used that style on my street racer way back when on custom made exhaust.

i bought a set of pipes recently and one of them had the same problem. i talked to a welder and he was unsure how well the flange would weld - at best it wouldnt be pretty, at worst it wouldnt hold. he figured it's be easier and more reliable to cut the pipe (at or near the welded join, behind the cover), replace the flange and weld the pipe back together.
