How do, I need an ignitor box for my '83 gs [x]550 e,the one with the electronic advance, has any human got one or any alternatives?

I don't think Dyna makes one for the 550 CHeck on Boyer Bransden Ignitions

The ignitor on the GS models are not very sophisticated with only two advance settings. One setting below about 2750 rpm and another above that. As long as you find one with the same number of wires on each plug it should work. Mine has 4 on each plug on my '85 700. It may take a little brain power, very little, figuring out how to hook it up.

Dyna makes one, but you'll have to use the Dyna 2000 or cheaper Dyna III kit. http://www.dynaonline.com/english/dyna3.htm

finding a stock one might be difficult. try Paul Miller or maybe a boneyard.

If you can find one 79 or older GS 550/650? with points and convert yours to points (points plate,advance mech, coils) Or keep an eye out for one on ebay
