    You know bryenkieth, there are lots of newbies around here that don't know the basics about working on a bike. Should we assume everyone knows what they are doing? Honestly now, and I don't mean to offend you with this comment but you send mixed messages about your knowledge. For example, the valves tighten with mileage, they do not increase in clearance and start making noise when they need attention like your comments indicate. Another thing, a loose band clamp will not make one plug wet and the other white.

    Lastly, and this is not intended to sound snotty, but if you were to break up your paragraphs, and use caps more consistently, your posts would be easier to read. It's hard to pick out every detail when the sentences tend to run on.

      I think you will find that BS34 CVs are standard gear for for the GS400 abd GS450 bikes. Only being a twin they use the bigger carbs.

        You are correct, I realized that after I looked it up. I'm so used to seeing the VM's on pre 1980's bikes.
