Quick easy question

Bike: 83 GS550E
Dual front rotors

I called 2 different places for pricing on front and rear brakes and the first place said that they are the same pads at $28.95/pair(x3) and the second place said that the fronts were $27.95/pair (x2) and the rears were different at $33.95/pair. Which is it???

Hi,

It seems Bikebandit.com says that the front and rear are the same for the '83 550E and 550ES.

thats what I thought. I also looked at bikebandit and although I've gotten all of my parts from them so far, their prices on brakes arent looking all that great. And Im a little discouraged b/c the gloves I just bought from them about a month ago are already coming apart at one of the seams even though I am very anal about taking care of my gear.

Not a bad idea to actually pull the pads out of YOUR bike and check they are the same front and rear.

It's not improbable that someone might have done some "swapping" after 26 years.
