    What is this?

I had to pull my starter cover from my 1150 due to a small screwdriver I dropped being wedged under the cover and stuck. So this rubber piece was just laying on the starter.

    Anyone know what it is?

One of the vibration dampers from between the fins on the motor?

A dampener. They go under the starter wedged against the crankcase.
At least that's where mine is.
It also looks like dampeners for the fins on the head.

No wonder my bike vibrates so much.

Seriously though... Should I pull the starter and see if I can find a home for it? First I will look at the fins.
