    It is a possibility, for sure.

    I had to replace mine last year as it was doing the same thing, even after the silicone treatment and a little light oil. New cable and all was well.

      I had the same issue, richening the idle mixture (turn screws out) solved the problem. If the mixture is on the lean side it will hang at a high idle for a while before settling down.

        Sounds like the classic intake leak to me. Check the manifolds.
        And on the seventh day,after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
        Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!
